First Hand Information on Area 51
Area 51 may be the most famous place in the U.S. especially when talking about a secret facility that stores UFOs and aliens for experimentation. However, the place is still not recognized officially, particularly by the U.S. government.
An expert on the real happening at Area 51 Thornton D. Barnes is set to disclose information regarding the subject on December 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Cora Coleman Senior Center. Barnes worked in Area 51 facility for many years wherein they use radar to track flying objects. However, UFO and alien fans may get disappointed if they think the flying objects that Barnes referred are UFOs. He said that Groom Lake or Area 51 was primarily a testing ground for spy planes. Barnes mentioned that the flying objects which they track using radar were pretty much IFOs.
Barnes is the chairman of the board of the Nevada Aerospace Hall of Fame and the president of Roadrunners Internationale. The former is a virtual museum at nvahof.org which is dedicated to honoring people behind previously classified aerospace breakthroughs and experiments and educating the public on those projects. The Roadrunners is a tie-up among U.S. Air Force, CIA and the aerospace companies that made and flew the early U-2 and A-12 Blackbird of CIA.
Barnes said that they are now preparing and collecting oral histories. He stated that they do not have yet a place or the planes for a real-world museum because the government shipped all the planes out of state and many of them ended up in other places’ museums.
Mark Hall-Patton, director of Clark County Museums and member of the board of Hall of Fame, backs the opinions of Barnes regarding the museum and real planes but he said that it is probably a little harder to materialize the plan.
Barnes had different works in the military, many of them he was not allowed to disclose but now, he is more than ready to tell the public on the things he could not speak out in the past.
